Nothing, you say, really nothing? I admit it's a matter of definition, considering I've changed city, changed career path, had relationships, travelled abroad etc. But fact is I am no further now, than I was when my mother saw me the last time. I decided basically on my mothers deathbed that I would give up my career as an electronics engineer, a career that had never started. I was after 8 years in engineering school, close, but really not that close to my MSc in Electronics Engineering. I had finished my master thesis under very dubious circumstances, and still had several exams that needed to be taken. My confidence in the field was low, but my expectations of life was high. I saw that middle aged man, with his midlife crisis infront of me. I could argue that I made my decision based on ambition and boldness, but you might as well say it was the decision of a coward who couldn't face the "real" world he had never faced and still hasn't.
